Exploitation and criminal activity (professionals)
The exploitation of children, young people and vulnerable adults can take many forms and can happen in many contexts involving peer on peer, adult on child and organised groups. For children and young people, the most common types of exploitation include:
- child sexual exploitation (CSE)
- child criminal exploitation (CCE)
- forced labour.
Exploitation can occur through many different platforms including social media.
If you are concerned that a child, young person or vulnerable adult is being exploited, it is important that you seek support for them right away.
