Parenting support in Slough

Agroup of mums with babies chatting to each other.

Raising a family is perhaps one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences but there is no doubt that parenting can sometimes become a little challenging, especially when experiencing other challenges such as unemployment, mental health. We could all do with a little extra help and support sometimes.

The council's parenting offer provides both group based and one to one services for families with children 0-19 (up to 25 SEND).

Our team and service partners are trained and experienced in a variety of programmes and interventions to help you.

Private fostering is when a child under the age of 16 (or 18 if they have a disability), goes to live with someone who is not a close relative for 28 days or more. A close relative includes a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or step-parent through marriage or civil partnership.
