About Kirsty Meredith Photography
Kirsty’s love for photography has grown from her father, he has always been her biggest inspiration as he has used a camera ever since he was a little boy. Her first camera was a Polaroid digital compact camera and she remembers taking this on a family holiday. Kirsty worked in a photographic retail shop in Seaford, East Sussex for her first job for almost four years. Kirsty was able to really get to grips with different types of camera and equipment during her time here. This was where she used a DSLR for the first time. Her first DSLR (Sony Alpha 100) was purchased here. She also took a huge amount of inspiration from her manager at the time, David and still values his opinion and accepts his advice today.
Kirsty have been taking photographs for over ten years and studied photography at college and at university. Her 2018 achievements include achieving a first class honours in BA Photography with the University of West London, exhibiting her final major project as part of my university degree show at the Old Truman Brewery with Freerange, exhibiting with her local co-working space MyWorkSpot as well as giving an exhibition talk and being commissioned by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to produce a set of images that celebrate the borough’s architecture.
In September 2018, Kirsty started her business as a freelance photographer and to date her clients include Cookham & Maidenhead Arts Trail, EAB Homes, Girl Tribe Gang, Maidenhead Self Store, MyWorkSpot, Resource Productions, Your Body Workshop, Slough’s Feel Good Festival and Solologic.
Kirsty’s 2019 achievements include providing interior photography for EAB Homes, providing regular photography for the Girl Tribe Gang Maidenhead & Windsor and the Reading tribe monthly meet up’s, raising awareness for all this disability and leading the #DeterminationAndDisability blog series and proving event photography for small business's. Finally, Kirsty gave power hour talk for Girl Tribe Gang on ‘How to make your business more accessible’ back in May and a Lunch n Learn at MyWorkSpot in August.
