Youth Matters Tuition

Unlike many other tuition centres, all our staff are fully qualified and experienced teachers in the British state school system. This high level of expertise enables us to offer the best quality tuition to pupils. Teachers all have up to date CRB checks.

We teach children in very small groups according to their age and ability. In our experience children benefit more from working in a small group than in a one-to-one situation. There are a number of reasons for this and much research backs these findings up. Children can explore and explain to each other how they have arrived at an answer, resulting in deeper levels of processing and greater understanding and retention of what they have learned.

Also, coming to a centre is slightly more formal than working with a tutor at home, leading to better concentration. Having said this, we are keen for children to feel comfortable and able to ask questions when they don't understand something.

In addition, small groups ensure that teachers can identify and address any individual difficulties that pupils may have. We offer parents regular appointments with the teacher to discuss their child's progress.
