Children’s Services - Wexham Park Hospital

We offer a full range of paediatric or children’s services in dedicated child and family friendly environments. Children are seen in separate emergency departments and outpatient department areas by medical and nursing staff specially trained in paediatrics.

The children's unit offers a wide range of facilities to care for children of different age groups, including a dedicated teenage unit at Frimley Park Hospital. Separate areas on the ward are designated for children with medical conditions, children having surgery and those suffering from infectious diseases.

Our multi-disciplinary team of community paediatricians provides expertise in child development, social and educational paediatrics. Community paediatricians work closely with, and provide medical advice to education services and social service departments.

Making the move from children’s to adult services can be unsettling - we offer adolescent transitional clinics for diabetes, epilepsy and gastroenterology to try to make this move as easy as possible.
