Building Futures Together (BFT)
People need support to help them through difficult times. This could be for a variety of reasons such as:
- separation
- domestic abuse
- coping with a child with special needs
- bereavement.
BFT offers:
- befriending services in your language and cultural needs
- general advocacy (those facing complex issues with no other local service available to assist).
Our volunteers offer:
- a friendly chat
- welfare calls
- support and a listening ear
- signposting to other local services/activities to improve health and well-being .
This service is for Slough residents only via referral from Adult Social Care & GP surgeries (if a volunteer is available).
BFT is funded by Slough Council Community Learning to provide Community Interpreting courses, subject to funding and enrolments.
