Building Futures Together (BFT)

People need support to help them through difficult times. This could be for a variety of reasons such as:

  • separation
  • domestic abuse
  • coping with a child with special needs
  • bereavement.

BFT offers:

  • befriending services in your language and cultural needs
  • general advocacy (those facing complex issues with no other local service available to assist).

Our volunteers offer:

  • a friendly chat
  • welfare calls
  • support and a listening ear
  • signposting to other local services/activities to improve health and well-being .

This service is for Slough residents only via referral from Adult Social Care & GP surgeries (if a volunteer is available).

BFT is funded by Slough Council Community Learning to provide Community Interpreting courses, subject to funding and enrolments.
