ChildLine

Local Offer

ChildLine provides a 24 hour telephone helpline for children and young people.

Sometimes you can sort out a problem on your own. But if you have a worry you can't cope with, don't bottle it up. It can really help if you talk to:

  • someone in your family
  • a carer
  • one of your friends
  • a teacher.

Or you can contact ChildLine at any time about anything.

No problem is too big or too small. Whatever your worry it's better out than in. There are several different ways you can get in touch with us, which you can find out more about below.

  • Message boards: Have you got something to say, or want to ask a question? Visit the message board to have your say.
  • ChildLine email: You can register for an account and send ChildLine an email about anything, and we'll reply to your personal inbox.
  • Call ChildLine: You can call ChildLine at any time on 0800 1111 to speak to a counsellor. Calls are free and confidential. Online chat: Chat to a ChildLine counsellor online in a 1-2-1 session any time you want. Sign up to start talking.
  • Text ChildLine. You can receive text messages provided by ChildLine for information and advice on certain issues.
  • Ask Sam: Ask Sam whatever you want. Write Sam a message or look at what other people have asked.
