An after school youth group for ages 12 - 14.

'Kites' is a youth project for children (for ages between 12 - 14) and is part of Camp Mohawk's Short Breaks Programme which is aimed at children and young people with HFA (High Functioning Autism) and AS (Asperger’s Syndrome).

Kites youth group meets every other Tuesday between 4.30pm - 6.30pm during term time and uses Camp Mohawk as its primary venue, as well as taking a trip out to another activity centre at the end of each term. The group participates in a variety of activities including archery, cookery, games nights, swimming (during the summer months) at Camp Mohawk, amongst others.

The friendly and supportive staff are there to encourage members to have fun and make friends, and the experiences offered are aimed at boosting confidence and self-esteem.

When existing Kites members reach the age of 15, or at another time as appropriate, they are then moved up to our more senior group called Hawks.

There is currently a waiting list in operation for places on the Kites youth group. For more information and to arrange a visit to talk about joining Kites please contact donna.levy@campmohawk.org.uk for details.
