Integrated Support Service
The Inclusion Support Service (ISS) is made up of:
- Educational psychologists
- SEND teacher advisors
who provide:
- advice
- guidance
- signposting
- training and support
to education settings working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).
The majority of referrals to the ISS come from schools. If you feel ISS could help your child, please contact the school who will then discuss your concerns with a member of ISS.

We support children and young people aged 0 -25 and their families with: Learning Difficulties and Disabilities Autism, Social Communication and Interaction Difficulties Specific Learning Difficulties Social, Emotional Health and Well-Being
- How are referrals/applications made to your service?
The majority of referrals to the ISS come from schools. If you feel ISS could help your child, please contact the school who will then discuss your concerns with a member of ISS. Referrals can be made via Health professionals for family support for very young children with autism or associated disorders. Referrals may be made via Social Care.
- What is your service standard for responding to referrals/accessing services?
The Integrated Support Service endeavours to respond to all telephone calls within 5 working days. All written correspondence will be responded to within 10 working days. The Integrated Support Service Admin Team is available every week day apart from public holidays. Members of the Integrated Support Service work throughout the year. Some team members work term time only, but there is always someone available who would be able to answer any queries you might have. We follow Slough Borough Councils Complaints procedures and a copy is available to you upon request should you require this.
