Mental Health Support Team (MHST), Early Intervention/Getting Help Team
Mental Health Support Team (MHST) work with school or college staff to support children and young people with:
- behavioural difficulties
- low mood, worry management
- anxiety/avoidance, e.g. simple phobias, separation anxiety
- panic management
- sleep hygiene
- negative automatic thoughts
- problem solving
The team offers also offers training to teachers.
Early Intervention/Getting Help Team supports children, young people and families with:
- mental health difficulties.
- getting more help from specialist mental health services when difficulties are acute, severe and/or enduring.
MHST Schools that have Early Years provision will be able to source support from the Getting Help Service.
