Public Health Nursing 4 Slough provides an integrated 0-19 public health nursing service, and up to 25 years for individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
Our service is based around the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme.
When your child starts school, we support you to help them develop healthy minds and bodies as they grow towards adulthood.
The school nursing service comprises of universal and individual components.
The universal service is offered to every child in the county who is of school age, up to their twentieth birthday.
The individual part of the school nurse service is individual packages of care and is delivered through a drop in service at secondary schools or health and well-being clinics in the community.
Each school nurse team is made up of staff with different mixes of skill, and different members of the team will deliver elements of the school nurse service, according to their skills and competencies.
