Please find below a number of resources and links that have been gathered, by Slough Early Years Prevention Service, to support you and your families during this unusual time. To open the different activities please click on the documents in the 'Useful Documents' section.

Links have been checked and were correct at time of sending you this message, please supervise your child/ren when using the internet.

Please remember to supervise and importantly join in with your children while they are busy cooking, exercising and sticking and gluing.

Mental Health support

Are you worried about your child’s mental health during this period of disruption?:

It will be quite normal for you and your child to be anxious and distressed during this time but not all of the time. There are some really good websites that can support you and your child. Some offer online counselling support and others offer advice to you as a parent/carer. Take a look at the following links that will offer you and your family some guidance and support.

This website provides parents and carers with simple activities and play ideas to support and develop communication skills in babies, toddlers and children. There are short clips for you to watch and be inspired as well as tips and advice.

This website shares ideas to encourage families to ‘chat, play and read’ with children from 0 – 5 years. There are clips for you to watch and support their learning at home with simple ideas and things you’ll find in the home.
