The Slough & District Community Fund

The aims

Slough and District Community Fund seeks to help relieve poverty of people living in Slough Windsor and Eton by making grants to those referred to the Fund. 

The Fund was set up to provide “last resort” assistance when statutory and voluntary agencies are unable to help.

Grants are usually awarded for household appliances, furniture and bedding.

Who benefits?

Anyone referred to Trustees.

How are applications made

Applications are made on behalf of the person in need on the Fund’s application form.

How are grants made

Grants are usually paid to the recommending agency for specific items.  Referrers are asked to help administer the grant.

Sometimes clients will be given credit at Slough Furniture Project.

Who runs the fund

The Fund is managed by  volunteer Trustees who meet each month to consider applications and approve grants.
