Coach Core Apprenticeship Programme - Amazing Opportunity for Young People

Coach Core trains 16-24 year olds across the UK through its amazing apprenticeship scheme that connects apprentices with the biggest and best sports and youth-focused organisations in the country, providing unrivalled tuition and mentoring, paying them a wage, and setting them up for an exciting future, including gaining a job with an employer, going to university or working abroad.

The Coach Core apprenticeship scheme currently operates in 10+ locations including Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Middlesbrough, Glasgow, London, Essex South Wales, Bristol and Devon with plans for expansion in a further three cities.

Qualifications, training and other opportunities:

  • Minimum of a level 1 NGB Coaching Qualification, plus additional CPD opportunities, equivalent to approximately £500 per young person.
  • Additional Coach Activator workshops, across a range of sports.
  • NVQ Level 2 Community Activator Coach qualification.
  • Cutting edge educational modules and additional learning opportunities.
  • Access to a range of inspiring events, training opportunities and experiences.
  • All apprentices will be paid a minimum of National Apprenticeship Wage, which is currently £3.90 per hour.

Application criteria:

  • Must be 16+
  • No previous qualifications required, you can complete functional skills on the programme
  • Not employed or in education
  • Criminal convictions will be assessed on a case by case basis
