Early Years Service

The Early Years Service provides: 

  • Early Years Foundation Stage support, challenge, advice and guidance for all early years settings in Slough to meet statutory requirements, raise the quality of learning and teaching and to improve and maintain outcomes across all areas
  • Cross-sector training and workforce development programmes, including accredited and mandatory training and support for practitioners, Early Years Professionals and Qualified Teachers
  • SEN support, advice and guidance, including strategies for early intervention, prevention and inclusion
  • Delivery of specific programmes for children aged 0 to 5 to improve outcomes in early language and literacy
  • Development and delivery of targeted family learning programmes to support the needs of the most vulnerable children and families in Slough
