Stepping Stones DS
Stepping Stones DS is a group run by parents, for parents and carers of children with Down Syndrome in North Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. They meet up once a month for informal coffee mornings and also hold other events such as summer trips out, Christmas parties and social evenings for the grown ups. In addition to this they run training events for parents, carers and local professionals (such as pre-school and school teachers, portage workers, health visitors and speech therapists). Services such as school outreach, music therapy, sensory sessions and communication groups are also offered to members. Stepping Stones DS have an extensive lending library with books and other useful resources which their members are welcome to borrow.
