Using and visiting our libraries

Slough libraries are open to the public running a regular service with the following opening hours

The Curve:

  • Monday 9am-5pm
  • Tuesday 9am-7pm
  • Wednesday to Friday 9am-5pm
  • Saturday 10am-5pm.

  Britwell Library:

  • Monday 9am-5pm (self-service 9am-1.30pm, staffed 1.30pm-5pm)
  • Tuesday Self-service 9am-5pm
  • Wednesday and Thursday 9am-5pm (self-service 9am-1.30pm, staffed 1.30pm-5pm)
  • Friday Self-service 9am-5pm
  • Saturday 10am-4pm (staffed).

Cippenham Library: 

  • Monday to Friday 10am-5pm
  • Saturday closed.

Langley Library

  • Monday to Friday 10am-5pm
  • Saturday 10am-4pm.

Browsing and studying at our libraries

Visit any of our libraries within the opening hours above to browse and study. Study space is available at the Curve, Langley and Cippenham libraries.

Note: Please be aware that Slough libraries encourage you to wear a mask while in the library, unless exempt. This includes children aged 11 and over.

How to book a computer

A number of computers are available for 120 minute sessions with access to certain Microsoft applications and printing. You can visit a Slough library to use the public computers or you can book ahead to make a reservation. Free WiFi is available at all Slough libraries. Photocopying is available at all library sites.

Loan periods and charges for late returned books

Please be aware that you can borrow or renew books for 3 weeks. If you do not return or renew your books on time, you will be charged. If you have any queries , please get in touch. You can renew your books in three ways. Have you tried our library app? Just search 'Spydus Mobile' on your app store.

Activities and events

Regular story and music times are back at our libraries. No need to book. Check our events calendar for timings.
