Early Assessment Pathway for Children and Adolescents experiencing emotional or behavioural disorders
Following extensive research and development I (with colleagues) are able to start an Early Intervention Assessment of children exhibiting emotional or behavioural distress.
The process starts with an initial conversation with parent. If accepted the next phase would be a detailed history taking to establish the full context and manifestations of the problematic behaviour. The next phase is a series of assessments - carried via ZOOM or other visual platform to assess the capacity of the child to "engage with comprehend their environment". This is a crucial step in seeking to understand the nature of the child's difficulties.
All assessment is carried out remotely. There is no charge for this service.
