'Room to talk' service - Mediation Bucks

The ‘Room to Talk’ mediation service is tailored to help resolve family/young person disputes involving a young person who:

• may be thinking of leaving home or
• who has already left on bad terms.

Mediation can help all the family members by giving them room to talk and to listen to each other in a positive environment.

Experienced and specially trained mediators meet with the young person and hear his or her concerns. The mediators then meet with the other family members so that all those concerned can have their say.

If everyone agrees, the mediators arrange to bring everyone together to work out plans for the future.
