Bank accounts (young people - SEND)

Having your own bank account is really important if you want to manage your money and prepare for adult life.

If you:

  • already have a child's bank account, it can be updated into a Young Person's account
  • haven't got a bank account yet, talk to a trusted adult about setting one up.

It’s a good idea to have a current account and a savings account. You might find it helpful to set up online or mobile banking to help you manage your account.
