Support groups

When you’re going through a difficult time and need support to deal with:

  • addiction
  • caregiving
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • bereavement

family members and friends may support you, but they don’t always know what to say or the best ways to help.

Attending a support group can be a valuable step towards healing.

A support group is a gathering of people who are dealing with similar issues. Through the sharing of experiences, they offer support, encouragement, and comfort to the other group members, and receive the same in return.

The group offers a safe place where you can get information that’s practical and helpful. Hearing from others facing similar challenges can also make you feel less alone in your troubles.
