Slough Crossroads - Caring for Carers
Who we are
Crossroads Care Slough is a charity which provides care and care-related services to Slough's carers and the people they care for. We have been working in Slough for over 20 years and understand the diverse needs of our local community. We are proud of the reputation we have developed for providing high quality care to people from many different backgrounds and with differing needs.
As part of the national Crossroads Care organisation, Britain's leading carer support charity, we are supported by a wealth of experience and expertise.
Why we're here
We're here to make lives that little bit better for carers and their families. To us, a carer is someone who, without payment, provides help and support to someone else who could not manage without that help. This could be a husband, wife, partner, child, relative, friend or neighbour who needs care due to age, illness or physical or mental disability.
We believe that every carer deserves help and support to maintain their own health and wellbeing. To do this, we provide a trained carer to replace the regular carer (often a family member) for an hour, a day, or longer. This allows the carer free time in which to undertake activities they would not otherwise have the opportunity or free time for.
If you have care needs, or are a carer, we're here to help.
